Archbishop Giuseppe Pinto is the tenth and current Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines. Pope Benedict the XVI appointed him Nuncio to the Philippines on 10 May 2011.

Archbishop Giuseppe Pinto was born in Noci, Itali on 26 May 1952. He was ordained priest on 1 April 1978; ordained bishop on 6 January 2002. Before Philippines, he had become Apostolic Nuncio to five other countries: Senegal, Cape Verde, Mali, Guinea-Bissau, and Chile.

An Apostolic Nuncio, or Papal Nuncio, is the head of an Apostolic Nunciature. An Apostolic Nunciature is a diplomatic mission of the Holy See. It is like an embassy except that its purpose is missionary, aside from diplomatic relations.

The Holy See, or the See of Rome, is a sovereign entity headed by the Pope. It governs all the Catholic Churches in the world. The Holy See is not a physical place but like any form of government, it has to have leaders and offices. Officially, its main, top or central office is located in the Vatican City State, which is enclave in Rome.

The Apostolic Nunciature to the Philippines was established in 1951. It is located at 2140 Taft Avenue, Malate, Manila.
