How Many Lives Are Saved With Immunisation?

According to the World Health Organisation, immunisation saves 2 to 3 million lives every year. Between 2010 and 2015, WHO estimated that vaccines saved at least 10 million deaths. The most successful vaccine benefit would be the eradication of polio. As of 2017, Afghanistan reported only 3 cases of poliovirus. Pakistan reported 2 cases. Nigeria so far had not detected a case. In 2014, India was free of poliovirus.
